Comparisons

How it compares, honestly

Waymorphic Map is a free basemap: OpenStreetMap vector tiles in five styles, from a CDN, with no key. That is a good fit for many maps and a poor fit for some. These pages say which is which, service by service, with the reasons to pick the other one listed first.

Facts about the other services were checked September 2026 against their own pages, which are linked on every comparison. Prices and limits change; check there before you decide.

How these pages are written

The other service's strengths come first, because they are real: satellite imagery, navigation, business listings, a contract, a map that updates within minutes. Waymorphic Map does none of those, and says so.

Every number is dated and linked. Prices and free tiers change without notice; the comparison names the month it was checked and the page it was checked against.

The code to switch is on the page, before and after, for the common case. The examples cover the rest.

Only what is live counts. A page names what the service answers today; nothing planned is written up as a feature.

Try it on your map.

One style URL, no key, nothing to sign up for. If it is not for you, nothing was lost.
